Tips For Work Life Balance

Your Working Life So Far

Do you recall when you landed your first job after leaving school, college, or university? Or perhaps you never completed your formal education? Whichever category you fall into, there’s a good chance that you will never forget the day that someone offered you employment. Your reaction may have been anything between elation and total fright. But you were on your way!

In the intervening years, a few things may well have happened. Do any of these sound familiar?

  • You have become disillusioned with the company and are thinking of leaving their employ.
  • You have stayed with them just for the sake of having a job and regular income. (If that sounds like you, then you are being untrue to them and yourself).
  • You actually hate going to work and find more reasons every day as to why you don’t like the place.
  • You started on a career path that looked exciting but actually isn’t.
  • Someone else is being promoted above you even though you think they are useless.
  • You are about to be made redundant.
  • You haven’t had a salary rise for years.
  • You are starting a family (or maybe you already have) and have to give up your career.
  • The company is downsizing and can only offer you reduced hours.

These are but a few of the situations that people all over the world have either found themselves in or are currently experiencing. And unless you have a very tight contract of employment, more and more companies are finding ways to “let you go” without having to pay you redundancy. And although it’s hard to believe, they will do everything in their power to make it look as if you’re the guilty party.

  • They may suddenly introduce new working patterns.
  • More and more meetings will be called seemingly just for the sake of it.
  • Your managers may ask you for more reports “in writing”.
  • An increase in memos will start appearing, all relating to more rules, regulations, and working practices.

You will reach a stage where you may say to yourself that you have enough of all the bull, and either hand in your notice or simply walk out in frustration. And guess what? Your job won’t be readvertised, so it’s just one less overhead for the company.

In these days of rising fuel prices, crazy energy bills, and cost of living hikes, the last thing you want to happen is to suddenly be hung out to dry.

So what can you do in the short term? Well, you could start looking for another company to join. If you’re exceptionally fortunate you may just be the right person in the right place at the right time. But chances are that isn’t going to happen. And even if it does, how long will it be before the same circle of events starts all over again in your new role?

And so, like hundreds of thousands of people worldwide you really need to start thinking about (and acting upon) a completely new way to earn a living. If one good thing has come out of the Covid era, it is that people can now see how easy it is to work from home.

  • No more traveling to an office on a dark, cold, rainy morning.
  • No more working alongside people you don’t really care for (especially the ones that have a body odour problem and nobody has the guts to tell them…).
  • No more strict regulations about when you stop for a cuppa or lunch.
  • No more thinking up excuses when your manager says “could you just stop on a little later tonight as I’ve got a deadline to meet?”.
  • No more being told when you can and can’t take a holiday.
  • No more travel season tickets to buy at ridiculous prices.
  • No more knowing that most of your car fuel costs are being spent to benefit your employer (i.e. fuel just to get back and forth to your place of work).

And I have no doubt you can add to that list…

So What Can You Do?

If you search the internet for home-based businesses, you will find plenty of ideas. Some of those are good, some may not suit your interests and some border on the illegal. So careful consideration should be taken before you start parting with your hard-earned money to buy into any great-looking offers. I’m sure we’ve all been there over the years!

So if I were to point you in the direction of a company that would explain how a particular business works at absolutely no cost, then I’m going to assume that you would at least be interested and take a look at what’s on offer.

The business is called Affiliate Marketing, and even if you’ve never heard of it, you would be amazed at how many times you’ve participated in it without knowing. Very simply, you may have read an article online that praised a particular product. At the end of the article, you made a decision whether to purchase the product or not. If you bought it, there’s a good chance that the author of the article would then be paid a commission. That person is called an Affiliate Marketer.

Some people who decide they would like to know more, decide to work enough hours to earn themselves the extra money they need to keep their lives and family afloat. Others do a few more hours and know they will be in a position to save and then spend it as they see fit. Maybe a new car, or a special holiday or put it aside for the children. And then there are those who make it their aim to earn big. And by that, I mean enough money to choose their lifestyle, and never have to work for someone else ever again.

You see, some of the commissions that are earned are what is called recurring. This means that they are paid month after month without you needing to do any additional work. Get a few of those under your belt, and I’m sure you can start to see the potential.

So How Do I Learn More?

Well even if what I have explained sounds a little complicated, there is a company that has produced a series of online videos that will walk you through the whole process step by step. They really are high quality, and as I said earlier, these videos are completely free to access and watch at your leisure.

I highly recommend that you take a look while remembering that your so-called “safe” job may not be safe forever. Or if you have already left the rat race and are at home every day, this could be the start of building insurance and protection for you and your family.

P.S. Remember it won’t cost you a penny to watch the videos.

P.P.S. At the time of writing, many of the videos have been completely updated. This means that you will get up-to-the-minute training information at no cost to you whatsoever. If you know of a better offer, please let me know!

  2. I really liked your very informative post jobs for women. I have found that many women might be looking for a new and challenging career for various reasons. Maybe they are looking to return to the workforce after raising a family. Maybe they may now be faced with having to provide for themselves or their families after a divorce or spouse passing away to make ends meet or help put kids through college.

I think there are many choices, but I especially liked your suggestion Affiliate Marketing. It could be a way for a busy woman to work around many of life’s hurdles that she may be facing. It could also lead them to financial security, which could be a concern of theirs.

    Great advice.
